A social entrepreneur based in Exeter, Devon is looking for positive people to give practical-hands-on-help and support to co-manage an exciting non-profit social enterprise and help raise vital funds to build an alternative technology education centre for the South West of England. (The first of it’s kind in the UK)
A1 Positive Recycling Project Ltd is a non-profit social enterprise, a company Limited by guarantee who aim to offer Eco-friendly services and to build up a positive management team in Exeter, Devon. Positive people with practical-hands-on-skills and commitment, dedication are wanted to practically-help co-lead the development of this social enterprise to help cut global warming in Exeter & Devon.

To create Eco-Friendly Technologies and services to save our environment to save the world.

Neil is the CEO and Founder of A1 Positive Recycling Project Ltd which he started out in the white and brown goods industry in 1990 and became an IT technician upgrading, repairing computers as well as providing Eco-friendly services in Exeter & Devon.

In May 2005 Neil received an Un Ltd level 1 Millennium award and a Co-op Community Dividend grant this helped him to setup a social enterprise through Cooperatives UK and he was recognised as a community champion for the most innovative project idea of the year in 2005.

A1 Positive Recycling Project Ltd aim to specialize in local on-site data wiping, computer, mobile phone refurbishment and recycling under the 2007 WEEE Directive which currently does not work properly in the UK under the EU waste producer responsibility 1991 legislation.

Fracking companies set to add to global warming and air pollution in Devon and Cornwall.

The non-profit enterprise aims to reduce the local carbon footprint in Exeter, Devon through it’s expanding client base in Exeter, Devon, did you know that the current producer responsibility 1991 Waste legislation currently does not work properly in the UK, the UK dumps more waste to the third world countries since 1985 than any other country in the EU, Fact. 

Neil said the planned alternative technology education centre will be aimed at training, educating, empowering adults and people with minor learning difficulties under NEETS, it would inspire new innovation, solutions and inventions in the South West of England to create a self sustainable eco-city the first of it’s kind in the UK.
He said he is currently looking for positive dynamic and committed experienced and skilled individuals who want the opportunity to be part of a local steering group and help make positive change happen.

Neil said the social enterprise is looking for people with practical-hands-on-skills and expertise to give the practical-hands on support with the building up of this community enterprise, to help co lead & manage, run pilot project for Exeter & Devon, you could become part of the non-profit management team after completing our three month work with A1 Positive Recycling Project Ltd in Exeter, Devon.

Positive Partnerships

 

There are two types of partnerships:

Informal partners are those who help with the working up of A1 Positive Recycling and may be involved in the delivery (e.g. members of a project steering group, or informal advisors) Such partners may be drawn from the voluntary, statutory or commercial sector, where mutual objectives are being met, or the specific partner has a mission to support A1 Positives community and management groups.

Formal Partners are partnership organisations who are working directly with A1 Positive Recycling to deliver and co-manage the project. Such partners may be drawn from the voluntary, statutory or commercial sector. In this case there will be an identifiable contribution in terms of service delivery management. Some of these contributions may attract remuneration for services, e.g. bookkeeping, payroll, administration and management, and service delivery.

However, it would be expected that such services would be provided on a not-for-profit and voluntary basis to support growth of the non-profit social enterprise and help it grow.

Neil's looking for people who can offer practical-hands-on-help to support the growing of the project to becoming part of steering group / management team and be part of our board of members with the management team = Together, Each, Accomplishes, More.
